Deputy State's Attorney

ELDER FRAUD

PROTECTING OUR SENIORS

Domestic and international criminals are increasingly targeting Prince George’s County seniors.  As these scams become more sophisticated, it is crucial for families and community members to be even more protective of one of our most vulnerable residents - our seniors.

  • Financial fraud, confidence schemes, romance scams, and lottery or sweepstakes fraud are rising.

  • We will continue to help safeguard our elderly population from these growing financial dangers and hold those accountable who harm them.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

BREAK THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE

Domestic violence is a serious issue that affects the safety and well-being of families in Prince George’s County.

  • I serve to protect the residents of Prince Georgie's County, obtain justice for victims, ensure accountability for perpetrators, and provide resources for survivors to rebuild their lives.

  • Through a victim-centered approach, we continue to work to break the cycle of violence and support those affected.

GUN CRIMES

VIGOROUS PROSECUTION

Gun violence is a growing concern in our communities, and I am committed to ensuring that those who illegally possess or use firearms face vigorous prosecution.

  • As Deputy State’s Attorney I worked closely with state and local elected officials to outlaw ghost guns and strengthen laws prohibiting machine gun conversion devices.

  • By working closely with local, state, and federal partners, we will continue to crack down on illegal gun trafficking and violent crime, making our neighborhoods safer for all residents.

ORGANIZED RETAIL
THEFT

ACCOUNTABILITY & PROTECTION

The landscape of retail theft has changed, with highly organized groups targeting businesses across Prince George’s County.

  • These criminal networks steal thousands of dollars worth of products in a single theft, including high-demand items like over-the-counter medicine, baby formula, power tools, and even copper wire. Those responsible will be held accountable.

  • I will continue to fight against these sophisticated theft rings and ensure that retailers and communities are protected from these crimes.

JURISPRUDENCE.jpg

THERAPEUTIC JURISPRUDENCE

BALANCED &

FAIR JUSTICE

I will continue incorporating therapeutic jurisprudence into our approach to justice. This method emphasizes accountability AND supporting individuals' recovery and well-being.

  • By addressing underlying issues such as addiction, behavioral health, and trauma, we will help people turn their lives around, reduce recidivism, and strengthen our community.

  • I will advocate for specialized programs for juveniles, veterans, returning citizens, and the unhoused to support their reintegration and well-being, providing them opportunities to heal and contribute positively to society.

PUBLIC INTEGRITY.png

PUBLIC INTEGRITY

EQUITABLE & IMPARTIAL JUSTICE

Maintain a strong commitment to ensuring accountability across all community sectors, including law enforcement, first responders, educators, and government officials.

  • We will thoroughly review matters involving individuals in these roles to ensure justice is served, reinforcing the principle that no one is above the law.

  • Whether involving misconduct, criminal actions, or ethical breaches, we will pursue investigations and prosecutions with transparency and integrity, holding those in positions of trust to the highest standards of responsibility and accountability.
